The Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve (GTM Research Reserve) is one of 30 National Estuarine Research Reserves around the country that focuses on research, education and stewardship. It is a partnership between state (Florida Department of Environmental Protection) and federal (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) governments and the non-profit organization, Friends of GTM Reserve. The Reserve manages over 76,000 acres of land in St. Johns and Flagler Counties.
Here at GTM Research Reserve, we believe in the power of education to inspire conservation, and we invite schools, educators, families, and nature enthusiasts to join us in the exploration and preservation of our coastal communities.
This website is a resource for educators bringing students to visit GTM Research Reserve or who are participating in one of our professional development opportunities. For more information, visit GTM Research Reserve’s main website at www.gtmnerr.org.
