The Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve (GTM Research Reserve) is one of 30 National Estuarine Research Reserves around the country that focuses on research, education and stewardship. It is a partnership between state (Florida Department of Environmental Protection) and federal (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) governments and the non-profit organization, Friends of GTM Reserve. The Reserve manages over 76,000 acres of land in St. Johns and Flagler Counties.
